2. Growth learning is when you embark on study opportunities which will increase your knowledge, skills and certifications. It's all about gaining the insight that you have never had before which will help you advance in your career and truly stay on top of your game - it's the training that will turn the industry's eyes on you - it's what will make you in demand.
Choosing the learning style that works for you
Mummies eager to get back into the working world have ample learning opportunities available and they have the luxury of choosing from a vast range of delivery methods to fit their busy schedule and their preferred learning style. Here are some of our most favourite delivery styles.
1. Formal learning
Put simply, back to the classroom. In formal learning you will have scheduled classes on the same day at the same day with students who are looking to gain the same skills as you are. This type of learning is ideal in the cases when classes are scheduled at the same times as your children's sports activities. If you're the routine type of gal and love scheduling your week in advance, formal learning is for you. It's also ideal for individuals who intend to start their learning journey again after a long break.
2. Self Directed Learning
This style of learning requires discipline as in the case of self directed learning, students have the freedom to study at their own pace. In the majority of cases self directed learning is online so you get to choose how, when, at what frequency and where you schedule your classes. If you've set an ambitious learning goal and are eager to get back into the working world as quickly as possible, self directed learning is the learning solution for you.
3. Indirect Learning (our absolute favourite!)
The world is our classroom and we're constantly learning through conversations, travel, networking, reading, watching YouTube videos and so many more instances. So if you have thirty minutes to spare, choose what you want to watch wisely - opting to watch something educational and informative will definitely be a good way to spend your precious time.
